FAQ

  • Do you ship internationally?
    Yes, we ship world-wide. The list of countries we ship to is provided here. At the moment please contact me directly if you are not in the UK. Shippings rates, timescales and insurances will vary depending on location.
  • When will I receive my artwork?
    I will endeavour to have your artwork shipped within 2 to 5 days where possible. If it is longer due to a need for varnishing, I will email you and inform you. Artworks are shipped via DHL. a tracking number will be provided by email within a few hours of it shipping. I will try to give you an estimated delivery date but it is only an estimate.
  • Will my artwork be insured during shipping.
    The artwork will be insured for loss and will be included within the shipping price. This does not cover the wrong address being supplied. The loss of the item due to the wrong address being provided by the client is the client's own liability.
  • What happens if my painting is damaged in transit?
    The shipping & returns policies are stated on the Shipping& Returns policies page. It will involve providing photo graphic evidence etc.
  • How will my painting be packaged?
    All paintings framed/unframed will be shipped in a bespoke wooden box. It will be supported with foam and bubble wrap to ensure no damage will happen in transit. NOTE: You will need a screwdriver to remove the screws from the wooden box to access your new artwork.
  • Do I get a certificate of authentication with my art?
    Yes. All original artwork is shipped with a certificate of authentication, a thank you letter, a discount voucher off future works and sometimes other little goodies which I think you will appreciate.
  • Do I need to varnish the work?
    No. I will have given it an archival varnish prior to shipping or hand delivery. I am more than willing to answer any questions personally about how to look after your new artwork.
  • Materials used?
    I use the highest quality artist materials that are believed to provided the greatest longevity.
  • Do you undertake commissions?
    Yes. To enquire about a commissioned painting please email richard@richardjhunt.com. I offer custom paintings in various styles and in varying sizes. These can either be from a reference photo, a similar piece to previous work I've created, or simply an idea. Please email with your idea and let’s discuss it.
