Inspired by historical tradition, the painting combines a multi layered Union Jack which depicts our nations multiracial heritage through different skin tones. Then an oil painted depiction of the lion using a pallette knife represents the pride of the British psyche
The painting is produced using oil paints applied in impasto effect over an acrylic abstract background. It is created on a deep, box canvas. Hanging fixtures are included, and there is no requirement for a frame due to the depth of the canvas itself. Should you require a frame your local picture framer should be able to create a narrow floating frame.
